Tranny cooler is located in front of the radiator...it's about 18" long and 4" tall. The cooler your dad moved to get to the starter was more than likely the power steering cooler, it bolts top the subframe. Are you missing one? I have one for sale if you need...

The a/c condenser sits right in front of the radiator and is the same size as the radiator. The tranny cooler is only about 5" high but runs the width of the radiator, and sits several inches in front of the a/c condenser.

The tranny fluid also runs through the radiator on ATX cars.
