I am going to get new tires and wheels in a few weeks and I am curios as to everyone opinion. What size is the best to go with. I had a set of american racing 18x8 with nt555s i liked them but they are gone now (got ran of the road and wrecked both right side wheels) so should i go with the same size or go with something like a 17x8-7 i am just not sure. Will a smaller wheel offer me more pick up or will the bigger wider wheel with more grip offset the added weight.

I have 17 x 7" and 7 x 7.5" wheels on mine.
I'm running 225/50/17's to keep the same overall diameter.

An 18" wheel moves the weight further out from the axle center line. That effectively create slower acceleration because the mass is moved further out. Whether you notice though depends on how you drive.

I personally like the size of 17s on the SHO. I have a set of 17x7.5 and like them very much. Pic is in my sig or cardomain site.
