wheel fitment with 96 brakes

I just wondered if any one knew if new wheels are needed to upgrade teh front brakes on a gen2 with the 96 upgrade. or will the slicers contain the extra inch of rotor? also are there any cheaper ways to get the parts?

Slicers work great with 96 upgrade. Cheaper than what?

cheaper than 150 for 2 rotors and 90 for two brackets. I would think I caould find cheaper rotors but can't I just scavange teh brackets off of another car? and then buy new nuts and bolts?
