Whats the story on the transmissions

I remember a lot of people saying that the transmissions were too weak for the motor even though I thought the GM nomenclature meant that the box was good for at least 400hp. So I haven't heard anybody lately complaining, and the car has run in the 12s...

Last time I was one here people were saying that the transmissions might not hold up that well with stock ecoboost motors.

Anyway this is the only thing that has kept me from getting one of these. I'm waiting hoping that in a year or so any problems that show themselves in a new car might be fixed, and the transmission if a problem, might get beefed up a bit.

Again I don't know the answers and I'm not saying the transmission is bad, but I am saying other people on here have said it in the past.

Whomever said that is full of crap. Like you said, it's a new car. Therefore, nobody can say something like that with any certainty. Haters will be haters.

In theroy both Beefcake, Torrie and Me are over the 400 mark.

Its a 6f55, Gm/Ford mix of Stuff. there are schematics on the net already. I got one back in Jan, but put it in my 2010 Folder down stairs.

I don't think folks started breaking the Gen 3 AX4N trannies right off the bat either, but over time they did begin to fail. Like Kirk said, there are a few over 400 now so we'll see which one gets the tranny-sploder decal first.

EVERY forum member should donate one dollar to someone can test the most boost/hp/tq/everything possible that the tranny and engine can take!

i'll be honest, right now at the 12.7's, it doesn't feel that agressive, i gotta feel like the trans will hold up to the 11's

A friend works at Roush and i guess they got to have a Hand in the Tranny Engine Problem... Yes when the Motor First Came to Market they were Blowing Transmissions Up Daily.. But Trail and Error they found a Platform that works and is Strong... I highly Doubt Ford would take a Chance on a Recall with such a Well Known Name Plate.. Would Def. Put them back in Negative Light... Lets just leave all that up too Toyota!!
