Initially, I thought this blowing whistling noise was coming from the valve body as what I was told, but I've since had a tranny rebuild, and this noise is still there. Actually, the noise is more pronounced from inside the car as the engine is running. But, you only here this noise when you apply some gas, whether in park or driving.

It is barely audible from under the hood, but it seems to be coming from the passenger side, kind of down by the accessory belt area. Don't think it is an accessory belt type noise. Could be some type of vacuum leak, but I don't know what vacuum lines if any are located in that area. I know I have a busted a/c compressor, but that's been out for two years, and I've only noticed this noise for like 2 months.

Hope this is somewhat clear; anyone have any suggestions on where I should search for the problem, let me know!

Well, what you could do is remove the belt and run the motor for 30 seconds or so (not too long because the water pump is not running) and that will quickly let you know if it is something accessory related or not. Obviously if the noise is not there, you can quickly narrow down your search to an accessory or a pulley.

I hear you, but the thing is, I don't hear this smoothe whistling noise until I apply some throttle, and the accessory belt drives at a constant speed.

Yes, but that could be produced by a bearing, that once a higher load or RPM is placed upon it makes the noise. Or it could be the alternator or PS pump that once a higher RPM is placed upon it could be making the noise. It is just a simple way to eliminate or identify several different possible sources for the noise.
