whats a 60k good for??

well ive got a pretty sweet lil 89 SHO and i love it to death but i know its time for a good 60k(oil in the plug wells) so ive got almost all the parts to do it but how much will it affect my preformance it ran a 15.3 at 92.5 bone stock a few months ago...any ideas???

The 60K maintanence is JUST that... maintanence. It's not a performance enhancer, it's done so that parts don't break down the line and the engine stays in good health. You might be looking at a 15.29...

The 60K is considered "preventative maintanance" in that it is intended to prevent the failure of components at a later time. This can save a great deal of money in the long run by preventing those failures and the complications that they can create.

You will, however, regain some lost power with a new timing belt that restores the original valve timing and the valve gapping that returns the valve gaps back to the nominal value. Plus, it makes you fell really good to see the internals of Yamaha's work and to know that you are taking the best care of it.
