This miss I have comes and goes..........some days I can't go over 1/4 throttle without it spittin' and sputterin' the whole! But tonight, it only did it if I got on the gas while in 5th, and even then it was only for an instant. Anyone have any suggestions?

How old or miles are on your plugs and wires? Also, how much oil is in your plug wells? I would put my money on those things..

No oil in the plug wells due to the fact I just changed the gaskets a few months back. Although the wires were soaking in oil for about a year before that. As for age, the plugs are about a year and a half old; the wires are at LEAST 2yrs and 70K miles.

Break out the multimeter and test the resistance on those bad boys. Most Chiltons or whatever will have specs for the wires. Since this stuff is relatively easy and inexpensive, I would just replace them due to their age and see if the problem persists.

If it does, you will have to run ignition system tests (check the PheonixSHO member... can't remember his name) or run some injector-clean to see if fueling is your problem.

Did you run codes? It should give you misfire codes if you have an ignition problem.
