What's the budget?

I only ask as people take the thread much more seriously and take that extra effort of typing when they know the person asking can actually afford it.

Have a bigger budget. If if you plan to do it yourself you will be coming close. SHOShop has a kit as well as FPS. You will need a Tweecer as well as appropriate fuel upgrades.

You should properly support it as well. If you really want to you can run a S/C on a stock car but done be suprised when you start braking stuff. If you get yours to something like mine you will be good. I owuld recommend at least a Quafie.

Would you be doing all the mechanical work yourself or taking to a shop?

Most blown SHO owners would have more than $10K invested in parts alone, I believe I may be conservative here, some closer to $20K.

By the looks of your sig, i would make sure that you have all the little stuff taken care of first. These cars can nickel, dime you to death if you dont watch out. Stuff like Bigger breaks, Quaife diff, good suspension mods such as: Al. SFB, MM, Fuel upgrades, would be just a good start.

So you recomend getting back up to stock and then upgrading the fuel pump and stuff like that, brake, suspension.

PROPHET, i don't know what i'll do, i could do it myself because I have another car to drive, and I have some extra time, but the shop sounds good because they could probably get it done faster.

A blown SHO is better suited for a mechanically inclined owner.

But if your'e rich, then it's cool.

If not I would go another direction.

I think you'll spend close to your budget just on shop labor charges and tunning time, hopefully you live closer to someone like Jason aka yamahasho that can guide you with such a task.

I saw IMHO the best setup supercharged SHO today. Plenty of sensors and the ability to blow off boost on it own if fuel problems develop. To build up a reliable supercharged SHO from stock you will need closer to triple the 3500 you have to invest or more. If I was going to supercharge my SHO like this one, I know that I would need to spend close to 10K to get it done.

Yes I would do that. I would upgrade what you can to handle the S/C. It will also be more fun if you impreove the handling.

The best thing you can do right now is make sure the car is in "maintained" shape. If anything needs fixed or you think it might soon, take care of it now. The SC will just make things happen and break that much sooner.

With the blower, there is so much more you have to account for than just bolting a blower on. Even something that I methodically thought out went wrong and cost me a brand new $600 clutch and a days worth of work.

If you do decide to SC the car and have questions, I have no problem pointing you in the right direction, I just ask that you do look at all the information that is already out on the net first as it makes things easier on both you and me (or whoever you talk to).
