(this weekend I was hitting fastest lap on lap 3 in most sesssions, which seems pretty typical for a lot of people on R6s).
We are into the TTE/D guys in 2 laps

, which means we have to get it done in the first 2. A6 is supremo here. And they are just absolutely unreal right out of the box.
The guy I compete with head to head runs R6's, everytime we've gone at it, I win on sat, he wins on sun. I cannot match his speed on sun, and I am quicker on sat when the tires are new. But his lap times will be more or less the same sat and sun, mine will be slower on sunday. And he can (and has done) nearly the same lap times on tires after 3 weekends. Forget that with the A6. The tread is still there, but they just HC out. (note I am still playing with 275's and him with 295s) I will test my 295's later this season.
they still run great after, great HPDE/lapping day tires, just not going to win any TT's with 'em.
I've got 12 or so sessions on some 275's A6's and they look (tread wise) like they've been on a SHO for 5 laps
so did you run any sticker R6's at miller? I would think you would have a pile of free hoosiers from your regional meets. some sticker A's might have made up that 2 secs to that sentra
I have heard the RA-1 and 555R2 use the same compound with a different tread. I ran my 555's and A6's (stickers) back to back at CMP and the A's were nearly 4 secs/lap quicker as well. The 555 is like the RA1, good till the last drop. mine are pretty whipped on the tread, but still are consistant and pretty quick.
I am taking some scrub A6's to VIR this weekend so I don't plan to be 100%. it's a non points out of region event, going just for fun. we'll see...
