Solid or GenIII? If GenIII, FPN is a good source. Solid Aluminum, there's several manufacturers with varying prices.

How much do you want to spend?

Around $80 for Gen IIIs or a bit over $100 for the aluminums (which have really become reasonably priced).

Just installed Gen IIIs yesterday. Feels good, the front end feels tighter all-around, and the steering response is a bit quicker. But, I would NOT call it a "night and day" difference. I noted NO increase in road harshness or vibration... honestly, I think there's less. The old bushings all looked worn, but they were still there and doing their job.

I reccomend the Gen IIIs. One thing, however, is if your stock bushings have the four nuts holding on the lower bushing, do NOT strip one!!! I managed to round off a nut and spent 4 hours first ripping the bushing out from under it and then cutting the metal away at the end of the stud to pop it out the top. headbang It was ridiculous, the rest of the bushings went real quick, like an hour.

I've never ridden in or driven a car with aluminums, but if you have any questions about the Gen III's please feel free to e-mail me. thumb

As noted in the sig, I have the GenIII bushings installed and have no complaints. Noticed a big difference in the ride quality. I've never had any steering response issues with my 89. I'm sure AL bushings would make a difference though. At the time, most reviews on the solid bushings was about increased NVH. Not something I want in my daily driver on nice potholed-ridden MO roads. Now, most responses indicate there's minimal (if any) increase in NVH with the solids. Oh well, like I said, I'm happy with the GenIII. Either choice will make quite a difference from the original worn out bushings!
