I used Red RTV. Then on one of the lips where the RTV pressed out when I tightened up the oil pan - I waited for it to dry. Then I wrote Type - R in it, should make my SHO have about 100 more WHP.

I use black RTV on almost ever gasket surface. Its temp resistant to 500F and gasoline resistant.

Its the strongest one.
