First off I have always been a fan of the SHO so far as to putting vanity plates on my Green/Mocha 95 GL that read "WSHWZSHO". I always lived in upstate NY and there was no way I was going to buy my dream car in the form of a rot box. Fast forward I am now in NC(so nice to not have to deal with rust) and bought one about 2 weeks ago from a deceased older womans estate. She was the original owner and I highly doubt she knew what she was driving. It appears to have had basic maintenance done as needed but not much else. To the sons knowledge it had not been driven in at least 2 years although it had been started on a monthly basis. It has 97500 on the odometer it is a 95 3.2L. What needs to be done to insure potential catastrophic problems do not arise. Here is what I have done so far:

Changed all fluids(Brake, PS, Tranny, Oil, Coolant)
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Crank Sensor
Front Seal
Struts all the way around
Outer Tie Rod ends
Sway bar links
Alternator
Serpentine Belt
Fuel Pump(The right way)
New Brakes and Rotors
Radiator
All rubber hoses exhaust hangers and tires replaced(due to dry rot)
Front cat
All 4 pads and rotors

My next thing is to do the valve adjustment including replacing all plugs and wires, thermostat and gaskets. (There appears to be a gasket or vacuum leak)

What else at 100k should be done?

Does the 3.2 throw rod bearings like the 3.0?
I checked the Subframe bushings and they seemed nice and tight with no dry rot(one of the only places that didn't have dry rot) This leads me to believe a repair was done.
Do the SHO's have the same subframe issues as the base Taurus? Wasn't there a recall for this? I remember my 89 Sable getting a free repair at the dealer so many years ago.
I know the AX4S is garbage but this one seems to shift pretty decent other than going into 4th prematurely and bogging the car down causing me to have to kick it back down is this most likely a speed sensor?
Factory AMP is unplugged as Sub appears to be blown can you put an aftermarket in and keep the factory amp and sub?

So glad I waited until I was financially secure to tackle my dream car :nut:

I have been told all of you are a great resource and friendly(maybe a bit sarcastic) but friendly nonetheless.

Thank you in advance for all of your help now and in the future :thankyou:

May want to try a different section as this doesn't seem like an emergency issue honestly.

wow.. you've done quite a work on it. keep it up.

aside from all that... I would check the AC compressor, with time they need to be re-shimmed so the AC clutch keeps engaging.
Check your lower idler pulley... the one that is closer to the alternator. Those have a tendency to go bad before any other.
How's your Power Steering pump... any leaks?

If you're going to remove the intake to replace all gaskets and to the valve adjustment, might as well replace the engine coolant sensor, is right on top of the engine, thermostat and whatever other hose you find.

Keep in mind that the "classic" sensors might fail down the road too (TPS, IAC, EGR sensor, VSS, Neutral Safety Switch, O2 sensors)

hope that helps and welcome to SHOForum :)
