Once again I would have to vote for Magnaflows. I had them for 2 years and then they swiped my SHO. Now even Mario is endorsing them and his boys finished 2 and 3 at Indy.

I was at a dyno in Milwaukee once with a Gen 3 and supercraps.

Too loud when uncorked and way too complicated for the effort or potential gain.

I'm gonna go for a pair of Dynomax Super Turbos. Forty bucks apiece & I'll be welding them on [with the stock tips unless I see something else I like], can't beat it with a stick. Well ok, maybe you can.

Just got my Borla's put on and out of all the one's i heard (Flow master, magna flows and several others) theses sounded the best. I get so many coments from other people. My wife despises my SHO (cause its been a money pit during the project) but after I picked it up from the exhaust shop she had a smile from ear to ear when I drove up. The first thing she said when I got out was that sounds good.

I also listened to all of the tracks and have decided I like the Borla's best. Now, all that has to happen is the original mufflers start to wear out...

Anybody give me a estimate on what it'll cost to weld new mufflers and the old tips back on? I know everywhere will be different and I should tell them to use something other than steel wire to weld them on with. Just a rough estimate?

I've decided on borlas, mainly from JS1L1's video posts. The bullets sound good too but I like the Borla sound better. Now I get to save up some bucks. Whoopee

You'll enjoy them. especially, as I have found, in tunnels when you can come to a complete stop, with no other cars around, of course, and then floor it till the tunnel ends. I LOVE the noise it makes. The extra $$ for the 2.25 from the Y back was also worth it IMO

EDIT: and thanks for the props:cool:

Will I see a significant difference in power if I do whole new piping from the two front cats, all the way back to the mufflers? I plan with going to 2.25 all the way back, no res, no 3rd cat. Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. How much should I figure an exhaust shop would charge me to do this?

Yea, couldn't I just replace the 3rd cat and resonator with exhaust tubing? Instead of the rear Y as well?

While I would not call it a significant difference in power, I will say this:
I live in Denver. The trip to Vail ski resorts are not for that of a car with minimal low end torque, mainly do to people stopping. On my trips up to the hills, I could not use 4th (OD), otherwise I'd start to slow down even while flooring it; the same was with OD off. Now, I can actually use 4th and still accelerate. I know it is not a huge gain but anything that that lets me make use of lower RPMs, myself and my tranny thank
