Since my commute went from 2 blocks to 10 miles my milage has improved quite a bit. I'm averaging 18 to 20 mpg city. I think it is good for a slightly modified car. I still have not had any road trips so cant give a highway number. Milage is usually crappy in the winter anyway, I'm hoping for better numbers in the spring.

I got 25-27mpg on all highway at 80mph average, but now I get 21-23 mpg at 60mph average. I dont know if its ethanol thats doing it, or what the **** is causing my problem but its annoying.

City = 15-16
Highway = 23

Ditto the ethanol comment.

I took data on this for a few years when I first bought the car, and compared it with everyone posting on V8SHO.com and such. Averaged for year round use you should expect about 16-17mpg city and 22-23mpg highway. On very long, very stable speed highway trips you can get as high as the upper 20s, and even touch 30, but it takes rare situations.

I average 17-20 overall, better since using the porterized intake, new plugs, and amsoil in last oil change. Hopefully numbers go up soon! Usually about $35-40 to fill up @3.15 per premium fuel. Usually fill when hits 1/4 tank.

Last week I found premium gas for $3.00 a gallon!!!! I average 28mpg on the highway. Our engine's compression ratio is 10.5 to 1 right? Even using 92 octane pump gas, would it be okay to add some octane boost sometimes? Someone once told me to not use octane boost in newer cars, something to do with the O2 sensors or cats I think is what they said, I dunno.
Does anyone here ever use octane boost?

Mine has not been off a diet of regular since I picked up the car. With the bore&stroke + the combustion chamber shape they are as happy as a pig in slop on 87oct.:)

Octane boost is usually just toluene or xylene. Much cheaper if you buy it by the gallon as lacquer thinner.....

FWIW I have only seen the need for higher octane when the ambient temps get above 90F or so. But then again all the gas I use has ethanol in it.

I average between 15 - 20 miles per gallon in the DC area. I fill up twice a week with the amount of miles that I drive for sales calls.
