Correct. Airbag controller.

It's in the glove box because there is probably no airbag OR the crash sensors need attention.

Who needs airbags when you have antilock brakes, anyway?

Its written on it the 'why' it never fails

Lol! Blame canada

Ok, while were at it...I see this round plug on the steering rack and I also see a grey snap connector that goes to what looks like three or four cut wires or wire ends that would slide on pins. All in the vicinity of the steering rack. Is there supposed to be a connector on the steering rack? Function?

Also on the rack, next to the high pressure line, there is what looks to be a sensor, that too is unhooked. Function?

It may be of interest to mention that the plug for the cruise control is melted.

What I find ironic is that with all this crap unhooked, the EGR is not??? Lol.

The cruise control issue has a recall on it.

The sensor next to the High Pressure line will be the VAPS sensor, controls how "tight" the steering feels. Easier to turn at low speed, harder at high speed...

Not sure on the other connector with out seeing it.

This is the 'plug' on the rack, it has four pins sticking out of it. Its next to the vaps sensor.

This is what looks like it would connect to it with the clips on the wire ends but seems something may be missing. Theres something else, the red/black connector thats unplugged here too.

This one is under the car near the driver side headlight.

And this one is near the master cylinder, the brown connector with sort of orange/white wire and a brown wire come out of it.

As for the cruise control recall, seller said it was done. I checked my vin and there are no open recalls for my car. Go back to the dealer again anyway? I got a guy not too far away that makes GM auto connectors, maybe Ill get lucky and he can whip something up.
