That’s what this community is good at. We excel at throwing things against the wall until they stick.

So i think it was you that said you doubt any performance loss from removing and capping the recirc lines. It appears it certainly will lower your MPG. Now i understand that recirc is used to keep the turbos spooled up when the engine lets off to shift. I get that might be a very minor benefit, but I say it must be worth something if they put the time and money into it. My main problem is just how much help is this? It seems a tial Q will release all air and you will hear it a half mile away but a tial QR you get a little flutter and most of it gets recirculated back to the turbos. If it is such a minor benefit then I think taking anything out of it for sound would be a waste so you should choose to just go with a BOV or go with a recirc.

I’ve been VTA since I bought the car and have consistently seen 22mpg with varied driving. I enjoy the feedback from the BOV’s and firmly believe, to each their own.

Our cars do not let off to shift because they are autos, the turbos are small and never spool down unless you physically let off the pedal. Look at a data log. Ford recirculated the BOV's to keep the car quiet. If there was a performance factor, no one would VTA their BOVs because they would be leaving performance on the table.

Manual cars on the other hand are different, unless you are no lift shifting or some other form of shifting (sequential ect) then recirc boost back into the intake tract to help the turbo spool back up is reasonable.

I was getting 22mpg in my truck before she was cornfed. Now I'm seeing 16-17mpg. I wanna know why ford put the blowoff valve on the intercooler on trucks but on the pipe in the SHO

Can the f150 intercooler be adapted to the SHO? Seems like the perfect match

Not yet, im waiting to buy some more parts so I can do everything all at once. Overtime has been scarce so I haven't bought the grille and bumper, or the leveling kit and tires, or the downpipe and exhaust, or the swaybars and shocks....etc...etc
.

It came with pipes and everything so it should be simple
