Before you flame the crap out of me, yes, i searched and didn't find exactly what i was looking for.. But came close! :)

Ok, when my tax returns come in (yaay i get my money back) im going to order my Intrax and Sensa-Tracs.. Now, i KNOW im going to need new strut mounts because my struts front and rear make SO much damn noise its not even funny....anymore.. So, will i need the adjustable or can i settle with the regular ones..?

Also, ive looked a lot of pictures in many threads, and cant get a define answer on wither to cut the springs or not.. As i sit now i have a lot of wheel gap, and i hate it. Im going to be getting some 17s soon as well with some more tax money, so i obviously dont want to go TOO over board, but i want to get rid of all but maybe and few inches of gap.

Is there anything im missing?

Struts?
Springs?
Mounts?

My 30k ball joints are SHOT, so im going to be warrantying those out when i put the new springs in, and other than that the rest of the suspension up front is ~30k old. Thanks.. I probably skipped right over what i was looking for in a post, and if so flame away! Thanks guys (and gals)!!:hail:

new pinch bolts! & the Intrax should be low enough for a DD!
- oh, & new strut rod bushings & to be safe I would have on hand a set of rust free strut rods! every time I've done LCA's that end of the strut rod is RUSTY!

Maybe endlinks. Unless they have been replaced you might find yourself needing new ones.

IMO, within a thousand miles, you'll probably be very unhappy with the Monroe/Intrax setup. On smooth roads it'd be ok, but on rougher roads, the Monroe's won't be able to keep up.

You'd be better off with a set of Eibachs, and cutting a coil off to get the ride height you're looking for.

cargo coils. 1.5 coils off the front, 1.25 coils off the back. Add a half coil if you're going for the "slammed" look.

Strut mounts will play a large factor I. Whether you'll want to cut the front or not. Some years hade shorter mounts.

What is funny is that there is a SHO with Intrax in your area ;). And they have one coil cut up front. You can always do as I did and install without cutting, let it settle to make your decision.

Yes the later model SHO's had the shorter mounts. Either way, whatever you do, the Monroes wont last if your looking to go low to the point you feel the need to cut. You need Koni's. Ive put about 2k miles on my first set Ive bought, thinking-you get what you pay for. Nice and tight for the autox, theyre excellent.

I'll have to look through my e-mail, but I think the earlier SHO's had shorter mounts. My 95 mounts where too tall for my tastes.

You say you're going for adjustable strut mounts and also asking me which ones you'll need?

Are you sure you know what you want to do? Or do you want people to tell you what to do with your car?

No.. i know exactly what i want to do, but looking on SHOsources website there are a few different options.. Im assuming going with the Ingalls.. I know what id like to do, but i just dont want to order the wrong parts and have to return them etc wait for new parts and all.. im the check, double check, ask for outside source to check then buy. especially when were talking about that kind of coin! ;)

Don't waste your time and money on the adjustable mounts. Not knowing what you are going to do with the car, you should be able to get all of the adjustment you need out of the strut tower plates. I went with Ford mounts and bearings from SHONut, but that's me.

When I went in to change everything out in my old 94 I brought the old ones in for reference, which were short and seemed original. I told the parts guy I needed 89-95 SHO, he clarified two PN#'s, brought out the 89-92's out which were alot bigger. iirc i think the early starters were tanks too.

Okay... I looked through my old e-mails. It's the bearing that plays the biggest role when trying to use mounts that won't rub. I went with 11/90-93 bearings and I *think* have the police mounts. It's been a long time....

Yeah, jason thats why i want the Intrax.. Ok, well. ill get the koni's then.

Everyone is saying that Monroes won't work with the intrax springs.....do we know this for a fact? Has anybody tried this combo and had it fail? So far I only recall see one person post that they had a Monroe/Intrax set up and so far he had not had any problems (about 10k miles i believe).

Not trying to argue, just wanting to get the facts and maybe some input from those who have tried it. Thanks

I too would like to have this debate put to bed as I'm in need of replacing my Bondurant struts that have served me well for nearly 100k with Intrax springs.
