My car's clutch pedal is sooo limp. You pull it up, it drops down. When you drive the car everything seems to be alright untill after awhile it becomes hard to get it into gear. But give it a few days and its back to normal. Personally I think it's my clutch cable, it must be expanding the more I drive it so it becomes harder to put the car in gear.

But what do you guys think?? ever have this happen to you?

Most likley, the spring for the clutch quadrant has let go, it happened to the 90, the pedal was limp untill half way down the floor, then it was a pain to get into gear sometimes. I in the end had to take the pedal assy off and I had a spare clutch pedal assy to put back into place.

clutch pedal

had the same problem with my 95 MTX, clutch pedal was actually riding so low thata it was de-activating the cruise control.

local Ford place replaced the spring for me -- no more problems. the clutch pedal now rides slightly higher than the brake.

Here's the only "limp" joke I can think of...

If your pedal is limp, put 3 ****** in with your next fillup.

here are the other pictures that you requested, this is of the problem pedal assy, I had 2 extras sitting in the garage, so I swapped out another good one.

here, the best thing to do, is pull the pedal assy right out of the car, there are 4 bolts holding it in, you do not even have to remove the brake pedal, undo the 2 left hand brake pedal to booster nuts, undo the one bolt inbetween them, and the one above, then the whole pedal assy will come out, and it will make it 100x easier to re-attach the spring.
