Price is not bad. Not a Performance Package, if you care about that, but looks in good shape. I traded mine in about 6 weeks ago with 82K miles and got $12500.

Looks clean enough and newer set of good tires for the price. I would do all the fluids at the mileage without a history that it was done. Maybe see if you can run the VIN through a Ford dealer for maintainance records.

Are you local? I work not to far from there.

You can create a ford owners account and view a PDF of the owner's manual.

15k seems a little high for the year and mileage. A test drive would tell you a lot about the condition of the car. Is it someplace nearby?

At that mileage and unknown history I would. And PTU.

Not too much different than any other car. Leaks, funny noises, odd accel/braking, natural gas smell is a sign of PTU issues. I’m no mechanic but have half a clue and if I can work it into the schedule I’m close enough that I would meet you out there if you wanted to take a look.
There are also inspection services that will test drive all the way to doing compression tests if you are willing to pay for it.

Go test drive a 2018, then you will know what normal is for these cars. If the PTU is going out it will make noise and the car may buck especially during slow speed driving. Making tight turns might make it worse.

I traded a 2013 for a 2017, both were PP, the 2013 has 82k miles and I can’t tell the difference - so if kept in good shape, these cars hold up well and that’s even if you

“Drive it like you stole it”

Which is me in every car I’ve ever drove (including the rental Dodge Journey I’m in right now - that thing will squeak the tires changing into second gear).

It is widely considered the weak point of the drivetrain. If it’s working fine your best bet is regular fluid changes however it should be noted if you don’t plan on doing it yourself you may have trouble having a shop willing to do it or not charging you an arm and a leg.

Call me dumb, but what is a "PTU"?
Power Tranfer Unit. It is the tranfer case that sends power to the rear.
