almost all of the MKS that we see are EcoBoost. all the performance of the SHO plus more creature comforts.

yup... for 2013 at least, get front parking sensors, lane departure, panoramic sunroof, and the adaptive suspension.

i seriously considered getting one. but at 33, too young for a Lincoln :/

plus couldn't find any loaded up ones for same price I paid for my SHO.

No flaming here please. I have absolutely loved my 2010 SHO. She has 87000 mostly trouble free miles and anything not trouble free was either a TSB or covered under warranty. But I am pining for an old fashioned V8 again. I never owned a high performance V8 so for me I placed an order for a (here's the no flaming part) 2015 Chevy SS. Test drove the 14 a couple times, great power, great handling and ...... the sound! Unfortunately Ford never considered the Coyote V8 for the SHO. Again, really love the 3.5TT we have but there's no substitute for the sound of a V8. I even test drove the new Mustang GT but it's just too small and not practical for me and my wife. The 2015 SS has the GM Mag ride suspension which should make everyday driving a little more comfortable. And for those who like a 6 speed stick it's available for 2015. I chose an automatic for various reasons. My new car won't be in for a couple months but I'm OK with that since winter should be over or mostly so.

The SHO will die before it leaves my possession! Looking at an XSPORT for the lady though.

Ah, the 158 mile was indeed too good to be true. Actually had 34k miles. Lovely car though, but not really a better deal than my buyout option of $22.4k with what will be about 47k miles. The 73 mile car really did have extremely low miles, but this one was a mistake on the Ford CPO site. Oh well - the search continues....

Acura TL from Acura CPO program are well priced. You can get one with under 20k miles, AWD with Tech package for under $30k. Could be a contender - esp considering resale value in a few years time. Nice cars, almost as quick as a SHO, (I see road tests at 5.2-5.4 second 0-60), and you know they'll be reliable. Something to ponder.

I traded my 2010 Audi S4 for my 2014 SHO. I'm going to mod my SHO and love it, but I HAVE to get back into an Audi and I'm in **** with the 2016 Audi S6! You simply cannot beat a twin turbo V8 with that exhaust note, almost 500 HP, and a little tune from APR to get almost 700! "drooling!...."

Basically the same list of contenders I've been looking at. Toss in the Infiniti Q40 and Nissan Maxima, toss out the Subaru, the BMW and the volvo, and it's the same list. I had one of those new BMW 3 Series as a rental for two weeks in England the year before last, and I just hated it. It was manual which I like, diesel which is pretty much a given in the UK, and had the M Sport amenities/appearence package. It irritated me every single time I drove it - no foot space, couldn't get a good seating position, the infotainment system was so inconvenient to use, and the stereo was lousy. It constantly told me I needed more air in the tires, which I didn't, and refused to start because of it a couple of times. And two large suitcases plus two duffles wouldn't fit in the trunk.

My research to this point suggests I can't do much better than my own SHO with 46-47k miles at $22.4k. Leader in the clubhouse is pick up the purchase option. Of course there are 3-4months to go yet!

I leased the SHO to be unique. I find very few drive Taurus' in the south, let alone SHO's. Had a guy stop me in Kroger parking lot and we talked over 20 minutes about the car. Apparently, it's extremely difficult to find a use SHO here.

My possible replacements:
2016 Dodge Charger SRT8
2016 Hyundai Genesis 5.0
2016 Chevrolet SS

But honestly, I'm inclined to keep it if Ford cuts me a deal at the end of the lease. It's been a great car (right up there with my Acura RL).

If you don't drive the new Lincoln MKZ before making a decision, you will be missing out big time. Much more equipment for the money than the Lexus / Infinity / BMW / Audi and more reliable than the German stuff too. 300 hp V6, awd, heated/cooled seats, all the electronic stuff, adjustable ride control, etc. etc.

I actually stopped by my Lincoln Ford dealership and got some preliminary pricing on a V6 MKZ, but it was not favorable at all. The lease monthly was ridiculously high - close to $600. Admittedly, that was before any haggling, but it wasn't even close, and that was using the X Plan pricing I get through my company. Unless I see some major incentives on them, unfortunately it's a non-starter.

Unfortunately, the Ford/Lincoln dealer is not motivated to sell Lincolns, so they will push you toward the Ford products by pricing like you experienced. If you want competitive pricing, PM me.
