Ok i got my cams welded and when the car was opened up the cams were pristine and haddn't walked at all.The car was owned by an older couple so the inside of the engine was pristine minus heavy build-up underneath the secondaries wich looked like they were never touched. Carlos Leon in Melbourne, Fl serviced my car.He had also replaced a cylindar 8 coil pack.
HERE IS MY CRAZY STORY THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON;
1- I was heading to Tampa Friday morning. Car stalls and engine doggs-so I went to Advance Auto.Code comes up CYL.8 misfire---no shit! I open up the vanity cover and lo and behold I am staring at a mangled and charred coil pack and my sparkplug was looking back at me on top of the valve cover in a small pool of oil.---Some idiot didnt screw in the spark plug so it reverse threaded and shot out of the engine!

2-Now I missed giving a speach that pretty much determined if I can go to THE CITADEL or not; Im going to go with not for right now...

3-A grease monkey at a towing facility helps me out by getting an F-150 coil pack and fastening it down with a random valve cover bolt in his pocket!

4-I decided to make the trek to Melbourne for the cam procedure like 5 hours early and I'll be damned the car made it!

5-Late last night early this morning(Saturday morning) my "Service light" comes on and flashes repeatedly like it did when I experienced the cyl.8 misfire.

6-I believe iam missfiring and cannot find another replacement coil of motorcraft origin.

7- right after Im done typing this I will bike 25miles into town to purchase an OB2 scan tool and replace what ever dying coil with my new one from Cyl.8 and refasion the F-150 cannibalized coil on cyl.8.

This is Pretty crazy :nut: and still kinda nerve racking but this picture here is like catching the Coronary before the heart-attack.Lets play agame of "find waldo".whats wrong with this picture??--yes some past mechanic did this and yes this is in the lower primary intake tube so therefore they should be shot and killed...if you cant view it try this linkhttp://www.cardomain.com/ride/2909021

Link needs a password.

AutoZone around me is now the cheapest place to get a V8 SHO coil though it may not be in stock. I would not worry too much about the name on the coil.

Is that metal? Looks like a push pin for some of the trim if it's plastic.

Believe me that damn screw was catching the coronary before the heartattack. The mechanic almost shit himself when he saw what was facing both of us.I'm checking on that missfire issue with the scanner i just got and no it wasnt 25 miles i biked it was more like 30 because NAPA didnt have any left for sale!I'll be on here later.---Alaric
