well i did get my NOS short block in, trigger pulse wheel?

well my motors in the car as of last night i tryed to fire it up and its a no go...

well i pulled one plug it was soaked in fuel..

now im wondering if i put that damn ring on wrong that go's on the crank for the crank sensor... i did get spark from that one plug that i pulled

any ideas on what to check guys?? :thankyou:

and if it helps any i thnik i put it were the open/missing tooth one in the same place as the keyway...

You can't see it really good, but the lower notch on your second pic has a little "3.0" over it. That tells you this is the slot for the 3.0 engine's keyway alignment.

You CAN put this piece on wrong.

What you want is to position the notch with the "25 - 34 Y" above it over your crank keyway. The piece already says front, but it is important that "front" faces out too.

So - Front faces front, 25 - 34Y notch over the keyway - Got it?

thanks but i had got it b4 i got to read this

what a pita to get that damn timing chain cover off in the car.. all in all i got it all done in about 5 hours R&R but it was for sure 180* out or on the 3.0 slot....

Oh man -
The plot thickens a little bit.

I just opened up an early 96 engine. It has a CAST trigger wheel with only ONE keyway notch. It further has a "F5" number stamped into it. It also ONLY says "Rear" - no "Front" reference.

I'll get pix up as soon as Paul Cross hosts them for me;)
