Tim The Enchanter from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Do I win even though I'm in Michigan?

Just checking out the new section.

Very nice...I like what you did with the walls. Was it like this when you got it or did you have to re-paint? Smells like a new section, too.

OK I'm jealous.

Welllllll,:***: first we painted, but the drapes really make it POP!!

The first color was too tan and not beige enough, but now we have this nice taupe color! (sorry, paint store humor)

The carpets certainly do not match the drapes. :oogle:

Too bad he's not here now - I'd pay HIM to rebuild my V8 in a heartbeat. His V6 is a freaking work of art... :)

As for the Cornhuskers...I might even find myself cheering them on occasionally now that the 2 used car salesmen, Pederson (sp?) and Callahan, are gone.

<---- Iowa transplant

And thanks for our shiny new clubhouse, Beth!

After making my last post I realized it could've been taken as a slight against you, Paul, since I replied right after your post. I wanted you to know it wasn't. I'm just frustrated at not having found anybody that isn't 3 hours away who knows how to rebuild a SHO V8.

****, if you think you could get it into the school shop and reassure me that it'll work when I get it back I'd be really tempted to let you and your students take a whack at it. :) I don't suppose the school lets the shop take on paid projects?

If not I'll probably be hauling my baby down to Grand Island in a couple of weeks.

The new shortblock showed up Friday. The gasket set and head bolts showed up today (ouch! those 2 cost more than the friggin' short block!), along with my new gatorback belts. I've got 4 intake valves and 4 exhaust valves coming by next week. I might need more once the head is torn down but at least I have enough for the 2 cylinders with low compression. Since whoever does the rebuild should be dropping the subframe I also bought new subframe bushings, rears at all 4 corners, and new bolts. I have new injector O-rings and pintle caps since I know for sure at least one of the pintle caps on an injector is cracked.

I'm just hoping there's not too much damage to the head. I should probably google "burnt valve" and see what I'm up against, eh? :p

The orders haven't come down yet, but it's about a 99% sure thing that we'll be moving to Omaha (Offut). As soon as the word is official (within two weeks), I'm going to start job and house hunting. :)

The fiance promised me that I could get a 1080p projector to make a good home theater in a finished basement... I'm super-excited!

Andrew, I will talk to my co-teacher. We've already got my truck and a diesel rabbit on lifts. If you provide all parts, etc., and maybe a "cough" "cough" ;) donation, things could happen :) Oh yeah, I know of a torn apart V8 engine. And I've got a spare set of front cams.

My LUV should be out early next week. Yay 35 stinky mpg!

He (the auto teacher) digs my car, but I dunno how far we can go with your car. Is it driveable onto a trailer?

vamadcap are you the one who made the post on youtube about my video?

Jason, Omaha is pretty neat. Having your SHO an hour away, even sweeter :)
