Well we figured out that the axle popped out of my MTX. Very good news, my question is how do i get it back in? its out maybe in inch? the spline isnt visible yet (they're on the end/tip of the part that goes into the tranny right?)
so i dont think its out too far, but if i try to push it back in/out i cant move it, tried hitting the end of it that goes into the hub with a mallet and it doesnt budge at all? what should i do? is there something i have to loosen? thanks for bearing with me the last couple guys :p

Brett, check you passenger ball joint and the intermediate shaft(shaft that goes in the tranny on the passenger side) there is a bearing on that and I bet the bearing seperated from the housing. Also check the NEW cv axle on the right side(the one NAPA took 17 to get right) There's a reason it came out like that and it's either the balljoint broke, intermediate shaft bearing is toast or the new cv axle took a ****.

I agree the the above mentioned post. Especially since I think you mentioned you were missing the carrier bearing nuts (or bolts).
