We have the problem, how do we fix it?

Well we figured out that the axle popped out of my MTX. Very good news, my question is how do i get it back in? its out maybe in inch? the spline isnt visible yet (they're on the end/tip of the part that goes into the tranny right?)
so i dont think its out too far, but if i try to push it back in/out i cant move it, tried hitting the end of it that goes into the hub with a mallet and it doesnt budge at all? what should i do? is there something i have to loosen? thanks for bearing with me the last couple guys

Brett, check you passenger ball joint and the intermediate shaft(shaft that goes in the tranny on the passenger side) there is a bearing on that and I bet the bearing seperated from the housing. Also check the NEW cv axle on the right side(the one NAPA took 17 to get right) There's a reason it came out like that and it's either the balljoint broke, intermediate shaft bearing is toast or the new cv axle took a ****.

I agree the the above mentioned post. Especially since I think you mentioned you were missing the carrier bearing nuts (or bolts).
