It's been a few years since I've run in an Auto-X, but there is one solid rule I remember. You can try all the adjustments you want, but until you reach the point of consistent driving, you'll just keep chasing your tail(literally and figuratively). Work on the driving techniques first, then work on the car. :salute:

Yep, seat time, seat time and more seat time.

AutoX and road course are very different, but I wonder how much of a difference the BMR rear arms and H brace effected my 1990. Even with stock 24/26 swaybars it has outstanding lift off oversteer at moderate (40-45) to high speed (70-80). I should get out to a autoX and see how this car does. My current car has eibach/koni stock bars. BMR arms in the back as well as a H brace and the car is a complete blast on the road course. The only after car I have spent a lot of time AutoXing is my 94 atx with a 0/20 bars with intrax/tokico. The car rotated nice but had a healthy amount of unrecoverable snap oversteer at low speeds. This lead to many many dead cones and some pretty impressive slidy driving when things went right. That car was a automatic so it was pretty front heavy to start with.

I would think that an h brace would help stiffen the back more, which could aid in rotation. What exactly are BMR's?

a tad? while I cant say there would be a difference between the GTP arms and these I can say that the BMR arms are insanely heavy duty. They are super thick compared to the GTP arms, but like I said I can't say that there would be a difference between the two because I have never driven with the GTP arms.

I'm pretty sure those BMR arms you have came off my old 95.

Oh, I'm sorry! It may have still had a Y-Pipe on it when it was sold!

Wonder whatever happened to it after it went to the windy city...

EDIT*

I forgot! The front and back seats from that car are currently in my wifes 92!

Pretty sure they came direct from BMR as did the K member and control arms for my camaro. I love the way my car handles. I don't think there is anything I would change on it unless anybody sells a kit to make it less front wheel drive.

Ahh. Well, don't know where they went then. Regardless, the difference between the BMR and GM arms are not enough for me to justify the cost's of the BMR's. Really nice pieces tho.

Alex, I suppose you figured out the gen3 subframe deal? How do you like it?

P.S. I just put in a quaife'd trans and removed my front sway bar. My new favorite obstacle is small traffic circles. SO FUN. You really dont notice the quaife until you really get into it. Last night I was ready to post how much of a waste the quaife was, but now that I got a chance to really push it today, I already have a small trip setup for tomorrow through some twisty roads.

Yes, and the main reason why it was a no brainer to take out the sway bar was the 650lb front springs. They are ridiculous.

The only reply you would have got from me was, you're not driving it hard enough. :sun:

Quaife in a straight line = Doesn't really do shit.

Quaife in Corners = :woo-hoo:

Also, 650 LB springs? Are you using Koni's? If so, they won't last to long with that setup.
