Just took my car in this morning to have them check out a bit of a mystery in my 2013 SHO.

After a few rainfalls (but not all), I noticed the passenger side floor carpet is drenched. Very reminiscent of a heater core failure, to tell you the truth.

I can't seem to find a source of the water - the side carpet leading up to the door is completely dry, so I doubt water is coming in through the door's lower seals.

Anyone else have this issue? Seems like the window was left open a crack and that's how water got in, but I verified both times that the window was completely closed. And there was no water on the seat itself, just the floor.

Forgot to attach a picture of what it looked like when I first opened the door after the rainfall - you can see water on the door frame itself.

Have you been using the A/C a lot recently, and if so, do you notice a puddle of water under the car after parking? If no puddle under the car, the drain may be plugged and ending up on your passenger floor instead.

I'd also suggest you check the headliner to see if it's wet anywhere. The sunroof probably has drains that run down the pillar near the windshield and if the sunroof drain is plugged or the hose is disconnected the water may be flowing down the pillar trim and on to the floor.

Rod, you're completely right. I assumed it was the A/C as well, then we had a rare 96 degree day last week and sure enough there was a small swimming pool under my car when I parked, so that wasn't it.

Dealer found that the drain channel for the sunroof was going down the a-pillar and emptying to the passenger side floor, so he's ordered a new part to take care of it. Not sure what the part is yet, though, because he just left that message on my voicemail. I'll know today.

I'm glad to hear they identified the source and have a fix in mind! I ran in to the sunroof drain problem on a used Mercury Mountaineer I bought years ago. Of course the day after I bought it it rained and when I came out after work, I noticed a discolored headliner. Talk about buyer's remorse. Fortunately the lot I bought the truck from quickly remedied the issue for me and there was no permanent discoloration to the headliner.

I don't know what is going on with Ford lately, but my SHO is STILL in the shop two weeks later waiting for the drain lines to be shipped to the dealer. They were supposed to ship last week, but the dealer still has no idea when they're going to arrive.

The regional Ford service rep basically told me that waiting 2 weeks on a part is not the end of the world. I was stunned, to say the least, that she was so nonchalant to a guy who just bought his first Ford vehicle in 19 years, and who also has an open special order for an Explorer Sport.

This isn't starting off on the right foot - I'm now driving a no-frills F150 loaner that does 0-60 in about 15 minutes. Oh what fun it is to drive (roll eyes)...

Have you asked the dealer if they will put your car back together for you since they seem to be struggling to get the parts in? If they say that will require them to put the headliner back in only to take it back out when the parts arrive, respond, "It's not like that's the end of the world."

Well, it took two full weeks but the parts did arrive. I hesitated updating this because I wanted to make sure the repair "took" - and I had to wait until a good rainfall for it to happen. Happy to report that the sunroof drain line repair fixed my problem and there is no water getting into the cabin. Thanks everyone for your input!
