ok, here is some back ground. one of the previous owners took out the drivers side drain tube for the sunroof......not sure why, but did. I semi fixed it... but need to fix it permanently.

NEW PROBLEM...
I took the interior out because I am replacing and cleaning everything. well, I found alot of water in the floors, esp. the front. Well, I decided to leave the interior out so I can try to find where the leak(s) are coming from.....well, I go back out there and both front floor boards are in water...and the pass. side more then the drivers side......Also I checked the headliner and it was dry.

So where are the major leaks in these cars? around the windsheild, the door seals. behind the dash?

also, I have not driven the car AT ALL. so the car has not moved a foot, so I know its not coming from the tires or anything like that..

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the wiper arms (lift arms, slide latch at base, pull up off of linkage), and the plastic cowling. On the passenger side, you'll see the air intake for the HVAC. Below that at the fender, there's a drain hole that's likely clogged with leaves and debris. Clear that drain hole. Now, on the matter of the air intake for the HVAC, pull it up, grab some black silicone, and reseal that to the base it came off of.

I had this happen to my 89, and every Taurus I've had since then I've made it a point to check for that. Sure enough, every one has had that hole clogged with crap, just waiting to make a mess on my floorboards.

Hope this helps.

Definitely check what Racer X said. That same spot has been leaking from the beginning of the Taurus til the end. Also, since it leaks just sitting and you have the interior removed, just run a hose over the car while sitting in it and watch where the water comes in. If it's that bad, it should be obvious.
