Hey Guys, Im new to the SHO world. Bought my first 93 MTX car. Found the car in pretty good shape and cheap! Its got a few problems tho, The first I need some help with.

The blower motor resistor or controll is bad and only works on high. I order a new one and was going to put it in but when I pulled the old one out it was wet! I dont want to put the new one in and have the same problem a few rainy days down the road. Were could the leak be comming from?? I smelled the water and it does not have anti-freez in it. It also rained hard yesterday. So im sure its not the heater core.

Thanks
KYLE

PS Please dont hit me on any spelling mistakes, I know im not the best a grammer. Thanks in advance.

Look under the the plastic cowl (The plastic peice under the windsheild) wipers, There will be a drain tube there, Make sure it is not clogged as well. I bet that's what it is.

Drain tube? awesome I will check that! Is the automatic Climate normaly temperamental in these cars?

Depends on what it is doing, Sometimes a Tempermental Climate Control can be a sign of other things.

I'm in Fayetteville, I know it's a Drive, But your welcome to drop by any time. I extend this to all NC SHO owners. We also have a few members in the Charlotte area.

It may be the fresh air intake under the wiper cowl.
If the plastic cap to metal cowl seal is bad or the cap is dislodged water will get in.
Or if the ac drain tube is clogged it will collect water as well with the ac running.
The moonroof drain tubes go down the A pillar and would not have access to the heat/ac plenum.

I never could find a drain tube under the cowel. Where is it located? I check the fresh air intake and it looks good. any more thought on the subject. I put a new blower controll in and its not got wet yet, but i really dont want it to as much as they cost....

Thanks Kyle
