Wanting the car level. zero rake. Options?

H&R springs states like 1.5 drop in the rear and 1.4 drop in the front. As my car sits now, it is 1.5 inches higher in the rear than the front. 2015 SHO PP. Considering cutting the rear springs because I don't like a rake and if the H&R claims are true, it won't fix my rear end being higher than the front. Any thoughts?

Please don't cut your springs, that's a major no no, especially with how heavy our SHO's are, not the safety factor. The H&R's that you posted will level the car out hence why it's a bigger drop 1.5 in the rear, and only 1.4 in the front. I actually like the rake and I'm having problems finding springs that are 1.5 front and back. But like SteelBlue stated Megan's are your best option, being that's the next step after springs. From what I've read on here from people that have em you can't go wrong.

I have them in a box in the trunk... going to get them in this week... fully adjustable height and dampening. You can completely eliminate the rake with them... or keep close to stock height and rake with supposedly vastly superior handling and traction...

http://www.ecopowerparts.com and they were $799.00 with free shipping. They ship from Megan who has a warehouse in City of Industry, CA. You can find the for $750 other places but Mike Bambic runs EPP and I trust if there is an issue he will assist. I can't say that for those Chinese resellers on eBay.

If you're only wanting to lower the rear to get rid of the rake, I'd trim the rear coil myself. There's a thread of a guy who did that and I'll link it when I find it.

I would suggest air bags, so to can compensate for rear passengers, fuel capacity, speakers, junk in the trunk and towing a trailer?? Whatever. All that acts on the height of he rear end. You cut springs and theirs no going back.

If the OP wanted to drop the rear 3/4" by trimming the coil for a more even look, he's going to be 100% A-ok. Aftermarket wheels/tires will fit exactly as if he went with H&R springs. My experience with trimming coils was very good and if I can't find a set of Eibachs that fit my MKS, I'll be doing a little trimming myself.

I have over 20k miles on my trimmed rear springs and the car has never bottomed out even with 4 adults with luggage.

92 Black GT your a funny dude, but you don't know me nor my experience. I am regurgitating what I have been taught in the field. Part of what I was taught if your gonna do a job, do it right, not cut corners (literally) to save a couple dollars. If that's the advice you want to pass on, have at it, but myself and many many others wouldn't sign off, nor do that to our rides.

aww, thanks! how is trimming off a bit of spring not doing it right? it is 100% safe and has been done for decades. it is a great way to bring that ass end down and keep very similar ride quality to stock. for you to tell someone it's "a major no no" just because you wouldn't do it is wrong. There are many ways to achieve the same result and spending more money than someone else doesn't make that way better.
now, if we were talking about heating the springs to make them sag, yes that is a major no no

Done! Cut off half a coil on each rear spring from my PP. Car now sits perfect. 1/4 inch higher in the rear. Didn't even have to put in the rear camber bolts. Fell within spec for now. Car looks much better and rides the same. No complaints so far. No regrets! Took maybe 1/2 hour to accomplish.
