I'm sure you know Ebay's not the most accurate source of automotive specs :)

They're 17X7 or 17X6.5, stock tire size was 205/45/17s. I don't think Volvo would have fitted 205 tires on a 8" wide wheel.

True true, but time will tell I guess! I am going to pick them up on thursday in NY. What difference does the width make as far as appearance, just how wide the stance may be from looking atthe back of the car, right? I wonder how light these things are?!?! or if they're light?

The width doesn't make a difference appearence wise, just telling you the seller might have misled you thats all.

**** I even said I loved them and offered to buy them if you're not happy. :dribble:

I believe they weigh in at about the same weight as slicers  ....

I used to have a good site that listed wheel weights, let me see if I can find it.......

Well, thats not bad then, considering its a 17" rim, right? I'l confirm the width when I get the rims here, I hope they are a 17x8, but DDAKRT, its quite possible you're right..

I think width and offset are very important when it comes to how a set of wheels looks on a car. You get the weak-kneed look with a narrow wheel or high offset.

That reminds me, these wheels may require spacers to fit correctly.

I'm pretty sure that the wheels in question are only 7" wide.

If they are indeed only 7" wide, than the 42mm offset will not throw them off at all, or shouldnt at least, right? I sure hope these things look great on the car!.. :bonk:

I was looking atthe pic closer, did he have no motor in that car, or was his back springs just sagging THAT much? I have Koni/Eibachs on my car, and I think I'l be taking one coil off the front, but that car just looks weird, but the LOWWW profile tires dont help any either, I think those are the volvo's stock size..

Stock Volvo size, or SHO size? I have 235/45/17s I will be putting on it, but may go for the next size up if I can get away with it... DDAKRT, thanks so much for your posts and information!

Okay, you were all right..., they ARE 17x7s, and they also arent in quite condition the guy made them out to be... Pics to be posted soon.. The stamp right on the back says they are 7" wide, the guy measured twice and got that they were 17x8..?!?!? I'm in the process of trying to get some sort of partial refund or something on them, one of the rims does need repair as specified, but they all have some curbrash which was not stated in the listing...
