Each time I start my SHO, a horrible vibration comes from the engine compartment...if it is one of the fans, I need to replace the entire assembly, right?

Or perhaps something simply needs to be tightened?

Any insight is much appreciated!

Gary,

Does it go away after the car is warmed up? If you give it gas does it go away? Just at start up? Not after it has run for a while?

Yes, Gary, give us more info! :D

Even with the engine running, you still should be able to hear fans from inside the car, provided the radio and HVAC system are both off. Of course, you could always pop the hood, start the car and then get out and look at the fans to see if they're running, too. ;)

Oops...At startup, it's readily apparent something is vibrating...it goes away after a few seconds. Then I don't hear it while I drive, and every once in a while when I am stopped, I will hear the noise again, but it is very short in duration.

I'll check to see if I have the A/C on next time I start the car...Oh, and when it is warmed up and I start it again after a short stop, say the gas station...then the vibration, again, is really short in duration and of course, when I pop the hood to look in any instance...it is magically gone!

Thanks guys!
