VAPS rack?

I have a 93 MTX. I was wondering how I can tell if I have VAPS or not?

My steering wheel jerks a little bit while I'm driving. The Power Steering fluid does need to be flushed and filled. Looks rather nasty. I've also been told that it could be a collapsed Power Steering line. Is there a way to tell if one of the lines are collapsed before I replace them?

I did a search found people have had the same problem but didn't find a solid answer as to what part is most likely the problem.

What would be the best (cheapest) way to diagnose exactly which component has gone bad?

I don't want to start putting in new parts if the chances are they aren't bad.

All Gen 2's are VAPS. I would start by doing a complete fluid flush.

Does the **** only happen when your in a corner? Feels like the steering wheel is jerking slightly back and forth? If so that is a common issue and mine has done that since the day I bought it.

Thanks for the info on the VAPS.

It does jerks regardless whether I'm going straight or taking a corner.

I'll start with the fluid flush and take it from there.

Anything else I should look at while I have everything apart?
