Quick question: From whom would you folks recommend getting valve shims for the 60k? How's the SHONUT used shims rental set?

I would highly recommend using SHONut as a source of shims. I purchased the 56 shim kit to do my valve adjustment and have no complaints. You're best to email Josh to verify but from our conversation in October, the rentals require a $70+ deposit refundable upon return of all shims/tools. Either way, you're dealing with a quality vendor. I found it to be easiest just to purchase the shims outright and now have an inventory of shims to use in the future.

I've heard others have had luck purchasing shims from fordpartsnetwork.com for slightly less than SHONut's price. IMHO, you can't go wrong with either vendor.
