the vacuum ****** thats right by the TB heater .. where does it go? I took the intake off 4 months ago and I cant remember for the life of me now. I also put some silicone on the intake gaskets for re assurance there wouldnt be a vacuum leak, that is ok right? oh also there is a vacuum line that runs along the bottom of the radiator support, looks like it has a solenoid in it with a hose that runs toward the engine. well this hose rotted out and I dont know where it goes. I couldnt find the other end. any help? these are the little things i need to get the SHO moving again.

the ****** right by the throttle body? Goes to the valve cover just below. Crankcase recirculation or something. it is a 1/2 inch hose or something.. There is also a smaller hose that runs from near the idle air control on the intake down to the radiator area that is maybe what your looking for.

IIRC, it runs from the intake-that solinoid-down to the bottom of the radiator... were there is a tee... right by the drain plug..

i think thats the one your talking about..

yeah.. that line allways goes to crap for some reason.
I guess ford didnt think about the heat that would be under there...

or i guess if you look at the flip side, they lasted a LONG time considering...

so do you think it will be OK that I put a film of silicone on the intake gasket before reinstalling the intake? it was a used gasket and some, but not a lot of the black layer was coming off. The silicone should seal it fine right?

some say not to do so...
However, i do it almost everytime... the only time i dont is when i have a new gasket...

just dont go too crazy.. a nice thin layer is all you need...

yeah it was just a film. i'd just rather not chase down vacuum leaks because of the old gasket. i'm saving the new gasket set for the new intake in a month or so.
