I'm wondering what the vaccum line on top of the TB is. It is located right above the IAC and the line runs down into the depths of the engine bay into...idk what, a solenoid? Well what ever it is, I don't think it works.

My vaccum line "deflates" when the engine is running, probably because it is a silicone line, but it doesn't seem like it does much. When I take it off, the engine runs rough.

Is the line supposed to deflate like that? It seems like I can just plug up that hole at the top and the car would run no different but idk what that part is at the end of it. Could that part be giving me a bad IAC code as well?

If the silicone line is collapsing under vacuum, replace it with a rubber line that won't collapse.

Just disconnecting the line causes a significant vacuum leak in the intake. You could cap the ****** on the intake, but the nausea from the gas fumes stuck in the charcoal canister will eventually bug you.

thanks. That helps a lot. I'll get the proper hose for it. It looks rediculous with the shrivled up vaccum hose.
