At first I was worried about low-end torque as well (something my '91 PoPo has more than enough of), but I've learned that if you just absolutely stomp the pedal, you can burn rubber if you need to.
One thing I like about the V8SHO is that it recovers from a soft launch very well. What I mean is, if you don't floor it immediately, but some kid in an Accord suddenly appears and tries to show you up, all you have to do is push the pedal harder. :D This way, I don't look like an obnoxious ***** squealing the tires at every light, but I don't let the ricers get the best of me, either.

In the SLO (Vulcan) if you don't nail it immediately, you're toast. You really have to launch that car hard to get decent acceleration (relatively speaking, of course.)

I agree... I particularly enjoy pulling out next to soccer moms in their minivans when they try to jump a green light, I just sit next to them until about 20, then drop it, listen to the secondaries open up, and leave them like they're standing still :D

Yeah, I don't own a Gen 3, but why can't I look at the blower setup or anything else on the shofast website?

Perhaps you might try asking the people at the Shofast site about that, since this is the GenIII General section of the ShoForum, a rather different location. :)

I wouldn't own a gen III.

Not becuase they're bad cars, just because there's no MTX option.

But, if I had my left leg blown off and had to drive an ATX, I'd surely get a Gen III over a Gen II.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

*edit* For that one individual that somehow managed to misconstrue what I said above as comparing Gen III owners to someone who had their leg blown off, and was offended by that: I enjoy driving 5-speeds very much, so I wouldn't choose to drive an auto unless for some reason I had to. (Lost leg, etc). All I'm saying is that if I HAD to drive an auto and I wanted an SHO then I would get a Gen III before a Gen II. :thumb:
