I'm thinking about swapping a sho v8 into my maserati biturbo. I need some exterior dimensions of the engine such as length, width, height, width of the oil plan/crankcase...
Also, what rwd manual trans bolts up to the 3.4, if any?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Lincoln LS is the only RWD 5 speed built i think. Also if you search for dimensions in the V8 section there was a post a few years ago with pictures of the engine with dimensions added on the computer.

Why not use a hayabusa V8 turbo? Get the 3.0L V8 and put aftermarket cams in it. **** sell the masi and get a lotus and put the V8 turbo in it. I know the guy that makes thees engines is designing a W16 based on the hayabusa motor.

Working up the same details myself only for a TVR 280i (Tasmin). Originally a Ford Cologne V6 in a tube chassis with a Jag independant rear end and around 2300 lbs.

The Lincoln LS '00-02 trans appears to be the only one that bolts up directly but the concensus is that it won't hold up to much abuse. I just got an email back yesterday from John at Quad4Rods that he's working on a bellhousing for the Duratec V6 (SHO V8 pattern) to mate it to a T5 trans. That will open up lots of cheap trans options (Mustang, Camaro, etc.)

Depending on what will fit, I hope to go forced induction on the TVR with a target of at least 400hp. Should be fun in a convertible.

Good luck with your project.

I saw a Radical 8 with the V8 Hayabusa at Gingerman this spring. Awesome car.

Here's a video of one on the track in Germany.
