It seems like my SHO takes a little while to start. About 2 seconds worth of crank time I think. Where I would say my Sable (and all of our other Tauruses) are about half that. 2 seconds is not an exact number but it seems like a long time. (Could get a video if you guys want?) Just curious what you guys have for crank time with your V8? Maybe it is nothing, I have no idea this is my first experience with a V8 SHO.

Thanks! Chris

Maybe fuel pump is starting to go. When I start mine up before leaving for work or going home I turn the key on and wait 3 seconds or so then fire it up. Starts right up.

I have found that if I just get in and turn the key straight to "start" the engine takes a little bit longer to fire up as the fuel pump needs to pressurize the lines. If I let the key chill in "on" for a couple seconds the engine fires up right away.
