OK, well I've got a set of rear spindles off a 91 SHO that I want to put on my 93... what do I need to swap? The entire rear spindles or will the brackets, calipers, and rotors bolt up to the 93 spindles? Please let me know asap. THANKS!

Adam,

If you're going with the older spindles you might want to consider the '96 rear upgrade. Same calipers with some extra hardware to make it work.

the backing plate on the spindle is needed for the change over. the mounting holes for the 89-92 calipers and brackets is different.

Either pull axle nut, and replace the backing plate or use the new spindles.

You have 2 choices. 1. swap the entire spindle/mounting plate/caliper bracket/slider pins/caliper/rotor/pad/hub assembly as a whole unit. Or 2. Leave the spindle where it is and replace the mounting plate/caliper bracket/slider pinns/caliper/rotor/pads/hub. Your choice may be determined by how rusty and difficult it is to seperate the control arms from the spindle. The point to remember is the spindles are identical, but the rest of the parts need to go as a complete set. Even the hubs and slider pins are different. The axle nut is 1-3/8" or 35 mm. I forget the torque spec, but its over 100 lbs-ft. Have fun, and I hope the used spindles have good ABS sensors in them, I can never get them out intact.
