The boss (Janet) and I just got back from three grueling days exploring the finest and most fun restaurants in the Dearborn area. We took this trip also, as celebration of our 35th wedding anniversary. See, if me asking Janet to help work the conventions with me, and meeting all you folks hasn't killed the marriage, nothing will! :)

Anyway, it is time to get those registrations in! My son Ken is taking the lead on this event, but he tasked Jan and I with the restaurant recon! :)

We have a great convention lined up with lots of fun and interesting stuff that we are working on with Ford. We will hear from several of the people directly involved with the 2010 SHO both as it was created and as it will move into the future.

We will be invited into Ford World Headquarters, and get a rare chance to drive our own cars on the Ford Proving grounds! We can test our skill and get new skills at Waterford Hills track, a fun track that you will enjoy.

You will have time to visit one of the most fun places on earth, Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum, or tour the Rouge assembly plant. A limited number of us can also tour the plant where the new SHO engine is being built!

Ford has a number of surprises for us, and of course, we have found some of the best places to eat in the area.

Time is getting short, and to properly plan we need you to get those registrations in ASAP. We have a great host hotel, get your room reservations also, so you don't miss out on a good price. Everything is listed on SHOclub.com, and if you didn't get the mailing some time ago, then visit the web site, or give me a personal shout and I can mail the forms to you.

This will be a special event in the history of the SHO Registry and SHO Club, and for any SHO Taurus enthusiast. We have worked hard to make it fun, keep costs down, and let this be a true vacation for you and your family/friends.

I hope to see you in Dearborn this July 11-16 (main event 12-15, but come early for the Sunday Dinner with the Mallinson clan, and stay an extra day for the plant tour on Friday!).

Yes Don congrats to you and Janet on your Anniversary!

My hotel has been paid up for months now, I'm hoping to register my car soon as I will actually have some extra funds coming in. I'm really excited for this convention as it will be my first and cannot wait to meet you all!

i've never planned on nor ever will plan on attending a SHO convention, but i can tell you if i were to go to one this would be it with all the involvement you've been able to get with Ford.

regretfully work, and family schedules will most likely never allow me to take this much time off for such an event, and i have to say this year I am a little jealous.

thanks for all you do for the SHO community by hosting these conventions. even though i'll likely never attend one i appreciate the effort you put into them and always love seeing all the SHO pictures after the conventions.

So no cameras on the proving grounds, huh?

As long as they put away all their prototypes, what's the issue?

Perhaps they've seen some of your previous spreads ...?:laugh_ti:
No pun intended, I assume? :angelnot:

Although, I was referring to the shit storm I caused when I cross-posted the 2010 spyshot on TCCA, and the ensuing headaches it caused.

As of right now, I'm trying to plan on attending. I need to get my registration in. Hotel has been booked. My brother and I will be driving up in my wife's Milan. I don't trust the SHO that far and it needs a couple of things. He might be buying a 94 ATX but we'll still probably drive my wife's car with it being that far.

You will be VERY happy that you went, trust me! I am so bummed that I missed out on the fun in Wisconsin, Memphis and Boston, the three conventions I missed since I started going back in 2001.
