He knows a couple people close by him that do roasts, but he's thinking they're like $300-$350. He's going to talk with them in the next couple days. If we can guarantee a decent turnout and have everyone pitch in $5-$10 it would be covered. I know I'd GLADLY pay that amount for a fully catered pig roast. Let someone else cook it & serve it while we have all the fun

If the pig roast comes to pass it might be a good idea to collect $5 or $10 per head in advance; there's nothing like getting there and then being short on the funds.

Also, I know of a couple other surprise visitors that may be coming.

Rest assured, if my wife's there, the shop'll be clean. This woman has a hard time letting waitresses clean off our table at a restauraunt...something about obsessive/compulsive disorder or something. Every two weeks, she crawls in my car and cleans it out, and it takes me the next two weeks to figure out what the **** she did with everything.

Ok folks, my last message in this forum from SD. I lose internet tomorrow, and hopefully I'll be on the road tomorrow night.

I'm still working on Pig roast possibilities, but my brother doesn't know anyone directly in the area. If we can find someone in/around Detroit to do the roast it should be cheaper. Anyone care to make some calls while I'm in transit?

I'll be offline for a week, maybe longer. My cell is (605)430-5913... keep me in the loop in case there are any big changes. Also, if we're going to do a pig roast we'll need ADVANCE payment. If we can guarantee 50 people that will let us go up to $500 for the roast, with people paying $10 per person. IMO, that's cheap considering all we'd have to do is EAT... no prep, no cooking and no cleaning.
