Mental Patient
this one only ticks every once in a while. Thing is, it didn't do that before I parked it for the winter. Just before I parked it, I jumped time a little bit. In the process of finding TDC on the crank (keep in mind, I wasn't as knowledgable as I am now, and I don't have a lower timing belt cover thanks to the lil wifey runnin the damn thing over during a front 60k), the beast backfired two or three times....once bad enough to pop the end tank off on one end. Now..........is that just some random noise that my imagination is turning into a bad thing? Or do I have something brewing that's going to cost me a lot of money in the near future.
Bear in mind the engine only has about 65k on it since it was completly tore down and rebuilt 4 years ago, and many of those miles are highway........the rest are racing.
So could it be rod bearings, though the ticking is coming from up top? I've crawled underneath while the car was running and couldn't hear it, but with the hood down or up standing in front of the car, it's there....but not regularly. So, if anyone can make sense of this post, lemme know.
Thanks
