Well, looks like a standard 16x,*** mile SHO motor that hasn't had any of it's seals changed before.

Well, at this point you need to evaluate whether or not this is going to be a car your keeping for a while or not (this greatly depends on the condition of the tranny I assume). You could go through the whole motor and do a complete 60k along with all gaskets, including rod bearings and o2 sensors. Now, if you did all that you would have a SHO with a solid no-leak motor (with all of maintaince done for the next 60k). You could then address the tranny (as long as you don't beat the crap out of it in the mean time) it will probably last you. But, with those miles it will eventually need a rebuild which will run you 2-3k. The complete 60k with all the gaskets and stuff if you do the work yourself and help from others will probably be in the $500-600 range.

So, you need to evaluate from the condition of the rest of the car whether you want to dive into the car to that extent or not. If it were me and I was keeping the car that is what I would do.

Mu suggestion is to get under there with a good heavy duty engine degreaser and clean all that crud off of there. Once it's clean, you can then easily tell where the leak (or leaks) are. No way to tell what's leaking with the way it is currently.

thx for the replys
I dont have any cleaner right now and on top of that i dont have a place to clean it. But cleaning it is at the top of the list.

As far as the tranny i got a friend who will help me rebuild it. He was certified and had his own shop. Parts for the tranny rebuild should run around $600-$700 and i believe ZERO for labor :D :thumb:

The rest of the car is in good shape. I got a ps problem but, I think that if i change the fluid it might help a little. Who knows. This is my only vehicle so im keeping it. I hope to upgrade the brakes and suspension. Light mods on engine.

Before you start upgrading the suspension and brakes take car off all the engine maintainence. Which includes the 60k, you will be surprised how much better it will run if you maintain it. I would just make sure the whole car is squared away before you start upgrading stuff...

Thats the plan :thumb:
I figured clean the engine, Gold 60k kit, rod bearings, cam seals, rear main seal, o2 sensors, vss, motor mount and or stabilizers(dont know for sure if either are needed),
then tranny upgrade/rebuild(maybe LPM too) and power steering fixed,
finally upgrade struts/springs/all bushings(subframe/anti rollbars)/sfc/stb(front and rear) and brakes :D
In this order
What do you guys think?
It's going to cost $2000 to fully update the engine maintenance so it will sit while i try to save up the cash. :madflame:
But ill drive it around the block once a week to make sure it doesn't get bored :thumb:
ALSO FYI
Im only going to change whats needed.
If it aint broke:Dhit it harder:bonk::headbang:

Thx guys

You could throw a in stuff to change the color of the oil therefore it will be a diffrent color than the oil that has already leaked out. Then you might be able to pin point it. A good way to know if it is the front main seal is check your hood pad right above the timing belt. If there is oil sprayed in a straight line from the front of the hood to the back thats my guess is it's the front main seal :thumb:

From the first pic, it looks like you have a power steering leak from the cooler above the subframe. I cant say for sure.

well the ps fluid is full but damn near black and grimmy. The steering has this shifting feel constant left-right bumping. It might be wheel bearings it feels funny.
Also the pad is mint no oil. Makes me think it might just be valve covers. You guys think i should take it to a car wash and power wash the bottom. I would use a foaming cleaner first then spray clean? As you can see from the pics the top is very clean.

PS cooler is on the opposite side of the subframe than this pic....

Also I wouldn't spray it with a power washer, just don't sound like a good idea. If your valve covers are leaking out theres a good chance your spark plug well seals are gone too, if you have oil down there then that could be it.

Most of the oil is on the passenger side like 90%. I think it is the valve covers making all the mess. It leaves a small puddle in that same side.

So how should i clean it up? I dont have ramps or stands :frown:

The SHO motor doesn't like being powerwashed from the top. Some have done it and been ok, others have done it and had nothing but problems.

From your comment of the 'Gold 60k' kit, I assume you got that from SHOSHOP? Don't buy that you can get it much much cheaper from autoparts stores and FPN and it will serve you just fine. Doing that would just be throwing your money away when you don't have to.

I knew that is how SHOSHOP organizes their stuff, i'm not sure how Fred does.

Yes, they may have everything in one package, but you can buy all that stuff for around half the price as them. But, if you want to wait longer and spend more $ than you need, then by all means...

Here is a list from the SHOPP website - I believe this is orginally Sdpatts list..

http://www.shophoenixproject.com/lower60k/60kparts.htm

This has everything you need different places to get them and prices.

You can do whatever you want but this method is much cheaper, and their is no difference is the quality.

I have seen and heard fudogs running 93 ATX. It does not seem like it is even close to needing an upper or lower 60K. So the 60k isn't really an issue, the oil leaks are the issues. I agree, degreasing the underside of the engine to find the leaks is a good idea. Once you know exactly where the leaks are coming from you will have a better idea of how to fix it.
