Nope not at all. They are nice man but i still would go turbo over roots.

Roots blowers are the kings of torque, especially on the low end. The large displacement adds immediate air flow addition, in much larger quantities than any other type of forced induction. You can get a lot of torque from a proper turbo as well, but you're not going to get it as soon as a roots blower can deliver it. A roots blower is also going to give you the flattest shaped torque band over anything else.

A proper SIZED roots blower will make gobs of low end torque, AND plenty of high rpm power. Remember, hp is a calculation of torque. The more torque you make, the more hp you make.

Right. This is a dyno graph from a car I just tuned. Ported Eaton blower with a +6psi lower pulley and a 2.80" upper with 60lb injectors. Made one **** of a noise. Had to fix the fuel system.

This one needs more blower. It's outta breath by 4500rpm. Boost is falling as well as torque. But 500lb-ft of torque is a hoot how ever you slice it.

Well, if roots is so good, why didn't you put one on the SHO? :p

What the **** would you do with torque in a front wheel drive platform that is torque limited in the first place.

The more torque you make, the less you can use. Even in the Cobra, we had to run straps over the suspension to force the tires into the rollers. That much torque would spin the tires on the rollers (even a 248c).
