Here we go again! Idiot family thinks that an R/T twin turbo can beat my 331 turbo mustang (which ran 12.20's with 302 cid, two barrels and only 5 psi).

But I think all I need is a turbo SHO to whip him. Now I know I got Mega-Flamed last time, almost afraid to add this, but now let's add an already potent powerplant and make it more powerful by turbocharging.

With 220 stock, 7 psi would be a 50% gain so 110 extra ponies, correct?

doubling the air, 14.7 psi doubles the horsepower. (Of course, I never would go that high on stock 9:1 pistons, but would I really need to?)

With no y-pipe or cats
The Tweecer to tune (and use 80mm maf)
And of course, a single T70 turbocharger @7-11psi

What do you t h i n k ?

Build it before you race it. The stock pistons are 9.8:1, but even then, you will have no problem pushing a bar of pressure, as long as you have a conservative tune and a decent IC. At that boost, you will see over 400hp to the wheels. If you can find a way to transmit that power to the pavement, you will run 12's at over 115 mph. If that is enough to beat this particular R/T I do not know.

R/T twin turbo gives a good indication he means the stealth R/T. just an educated guess. I'm aware any of those cars COULD be twin turbocharged, but seeing as the stealth is stock its where my money is.
