Jim, the buzz is that the CTS-Vs may have been over rated, 99 Cobra-style. Many are getting 320rwhp or thereabouts, which is considerably lower than the typical Z06 dyno. I'd be curious to hear your numbers.

LIES! .................... J/K. It is creating a little buzz in V land. There is one guy who only got around 312rwhp!!! I am interested in getting a baseline for just that reason. But I've already pulled away from an M3, an M5 and pulled ******* a base 911. So, I'm not too worried as of yet.

Are the -V's all manuals? 312 wheel hp is 22% loss, exactly what the ATX SHO's get for losses.

17% (Quaife'd MTX SHO) gets you down to about 330hp at the wheels.

No Fred, all Vs are manuals. 312 is a little low but I've seen others in the upper 320s and one guy had a factory freak with a claimed 344. With my butt-o-meter, I'm pretty happy with the power.

The V supposedly has less hp to the Z06 because of intake and exhaust restrictions added. I think that may have been to appease the Vette crowd. But, people are claiming 17hp gains with a CAI and in the 20s for an X-pipe to replace the resonator. So, after a few months when the vendors get settled and somebody else is the test mule, I may start dabbling lightly .

God knows I didn't spend the money I did to be adding crap that doesn't work.
