Have you calculated the MPG? Mine got between 17-19 Mpg. Mine I attribute to the failing transmission mostly. I expect a solid 1-2 mpg improvement when I finally replace my torque converter.
Spark plugs usually last about 100k.

Less than 100 miles, since fill-up, I already have about 1/2 tank left and I don't go anywhere.

Well my travels are usually long distance ~90miles per day at highway speeds. I get worse if its just city travels.

I get slightly better in my V6 Ford Flex, 19-21 mpg. But its newer and a slightly more efficient engine and is a 6-speed, despite being heavier, less aerodynamic and having more miles.

Before my SHO tranny issues began appearing I was getting about 20-21 mpg.

I am not sure on my gas mileage. At what RPM's do the secondary's open up? I would stay under that figure.

I don't drive me car much, or hard. On occasion, I like to do a quick take off, but rare. "HOPEFULLY" this transmission shop will be able to take care of the shifting issues that it's had since I bought it in December.

These cars just needed a better Toque Converter to hold on the high end, which is where they like to play.

My 96 Rosemist gets 17/25 city/hwy with a rebuilt tranny that has about 20,000 miles on it.

Check your brake temps after a drive to see that they are all similar. if there is a wheel that feels much hotter than the others, then you may have a caliper hanging up. I have had that on many occasions over my years of owning many V8 SHO's.
It will hurt your gas mileage, and if it is rear brake, chances are you may not notice any steering issues.

All of my brake things have been changed here recently. I just need to buy some better bushings for them.
