Tune up question

Hey guys, I am pretty sure my MAF is going, possibly gone already. I am wondering if there is a way of cleaning it before replacing it. Any info would be appreciated greatly. Thanks.

Buy some throttle body spray cleaner or even just brake cleaner and GENTLY spray the sensor filaments in the MAF. Don't touch the filiments with anything(spray nozzle, q-tip, etc). Clean out the MAF housing too. Hold the MAF upright so the cleaner doesn't run into the electronics ontop.
