When I bought the car, the trunk lid was in sad shape. Few rust holes, high mount LED didn't work, spoiler was cracked, and the lock was busted out because he needed stuff out of the trunk, and couldn't find the key.
Found a guy near by parting out a green SHO with a trunk lid that was near perfect.
Pulled the old one off (removed both bolts from each side of the opening hinges, disconnected what I needed too, pulled the old one off and put the new one on.
Problem is now I can't find a happy medium between the trunk closing and the remote release letting go.
When driving, the trunk lid shakes on the left front (when looking at it from the back of the car forward). I can see the weather stripping on the entire left, but the trunk on the right is very tight.
Is there any trick to adjusting this thing properly? I've tried what I can, and am out of ideas.
