I'm parting my 89 SHO. I took off most everything already, Bank 1 cam, closest to the firewall, i'm having a hard time with it. Does the camshaft position sensor have to come out before removing the cam right next to it? It doesn't seem to be attached to it.
Thanks.

Yes, the cam position sensor has to come off. There's a metal cup attached to the end of the cam that sits inside the sensor that will prevent removal of the cam.
